Dead by Daylight Launches New ‘Chains of Hate’ Update Adding New Killer

Behaviour Interactive launched their newest update for their four versus one survival horror title Dead by Daylight across all versions, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Titled Chains of Hate, players can purchase the DLC for $7.99 to gain access to a new killer named The Deathslinger. This outlaw character wields a speargun to drag his victims closer.

The update also introduces a new survivor, Zarina Kassir. Zarina is a filmmaker with the ability to stay quiet and manipulate sound. She can also heal other Survivors from dying to injured, or from injured to healthy when she’s at full health. There’s also a new map featuring a western theme complete with a Saloon.

Dead by Daylight has players take the role of a character, most are free, but some require DLC. The goal of the game is to escape being murdered by a player-controlled killer who is always out to hunt the four survivors. With various ways to survive the night, players must work together, or individually if you don’t care about the safety of your teammates, and escape.

To celebrate the release, the developer released a new trailer, which gives players a preview of the new map, killer, and character.
